Description Sika® Primer-209 N is a black pigmented liquid of low viscosity which dries by reaction with atmospheric moisture. It is used to prime painted surfaces and plastic substrates prior to bonding with Sikaflex® products. Sika® Primer-209 N is manu– factured in accordance with ISO 9001 / 14001 quality assurance system and the responsible care program. Areas of Application Sika® Primer-209 N is suitable for application to the following substrates: – Plastics Acrylic (PMMA) Polycarbonate ABS, etc. – Paints Acrylics Alkyds/melamin Because paints and plastics vary so much in their chemical composition, preliminary trials are necessary. Always seek manufacturer’s advice before using primer on plastics that are prone to stress cracking, such as acrylics, polycarbonates or ABS. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions, especially boundary temperature conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.
